Here's a collection of cool race car coloring pages I found for my grandson to make his own art.

He's eight years old, loves race cars and he enjoys arts and crafts, especially markers, crayons and coloring books. I visited each free race car coloring page listed in my suggestions to ensure it's printable, no-cost and hosted on a family-friendly web site.

This collection of race car pages and coloring books offers plenty of hot rod fun for all ages. The printable race cars coloring sheets range from simple racing car pictures for preschoolers to detailed top speed race cars and formula race cars line drawings.

Check out all the NASCAR coloring pages, Disney Pixar Cars sheets, international and classic racing printables and of course good old hot rod and stock car coloring books.

NASCAR Racing Simulation - Drive a NASCAR race car (virtually)

I visited the track at Charlotte Raceway with my 80-year-old mother last fall. She surprised me a bit when she revealed that decades earlier she'd had a chance to tear around a European track in a Lotus ... and was itching to hit the gas in one of the NASCAR racers available for joyriders that day.

My Grandson Loves His Cars - and Trucks, and Trains, and Bikes ... - He's got a HUGE collection of toy vehicles and race car toys

My grandson must have inherited a bit of his two great-grandfather's love for automotives. My father in law was a dirt track race car driver, and my dad loved his foreign sports cars.

Sawyer has been fascinated by any vehicle with wheels since he was just a baby. Here's a photo of him when he was barely 18 months old, doing what he loves best - playing with his race cars and toy trucks.

I love a good ole dirt track race or a small oval macadam challenge any day! My granddaughter already has her earmuffs so she's ready to go to the race track with Mom and Dad!

Whether you like Disney Pixar's Cars coloring pages, cartoon coloring pages, international auto race printables, dirt track stock cars, hot rods or NASCAR coloring pages, you're sure to find a good selection of free race car coloring printables by choosing from the pre-screened pages in the list below.

I visited each site or page in the link list of race car coloring pages to ensure they're printable, free and hosted on a family-friendly web site.

Does Your Car or Truck or Bike Have a Name? - Admit it, have you ever named your ride?

I always had a name for any car or truck I drove, and I was not surprised to learn that I'm not alone. Lots of folks have a personal relationship with their vehicle and they name their ride, just like any trusty steed. Share your vehicle's name(s) here, or sound off if you think naming an automobile is, well, strange.

Sound off about naming your personal vehicle - ... is it cool, or just a bit strange to name your ride?

Have you (or someone you know) every christened a car, truck or other vehicle besides a boat with a name? I have named every car, van or truck I've ever owned. Ships get names, some trains have names, so it makes sense to me.

I name vehicles with automatic transmissions with female names and standard/stick shift rides get male names.

My VW Golf's name: Franz. My old Ford Falcon: Zachary. Our Dodge van: Henry (van Dodge) ... and so on.

Have You Ever Named Your Car (or Truck or Motorcycle)?

Cars, Cars, We Love Our Race Cars

Hot rods, classic cars, sports cars, NASCAR race cars

Cars and car racing are in my blood. I've always loved cars - I learned to drive when I was 14 years old, barely able to see over the steering wheel of my Dad's MGB roadster.Car race rally fun was reserved for Dad and Mom (only 2 seats in that MG and the later Austin Healey and TR7) but it was certainly exciting to ride around town with Daddy in his sporty car with the top down. Learning to drive a car with a clutch and stick shift was tough but I've never regretted it!

My cousin used to race midgets on the professional circuit along the east coast. My oldest daughter is a big NASCAR fan. My grandson has been infatuated with any type of toy vehicle since he was about a year old. He's a big fan of the Disney Pixar animated film, Cars - Lightning McQueen is his car race hero. I guess car race fever is in our family for good!

Is Naming a Vehicle Unusual or Normal?

Ships get names, why not cars and trucks and other personal transport vehicles?

Totally normal for me. It's like you treat your vehicle as a living thing.

I say it's normal to name our vehicle; After all, we name most everything else, so why not name our vehicle.

    • Spook LM 6 years ago

Completely normal as far as I'm concerned.

Naming a vehicle is just not right ...
