You've Never Crocheted Roses Like This Before!!

If you love crocheting popcorns... if you love roses... this is the doily for you! Why is it called "Backward?" Well, you'll see that once you get started. The roses are literally crocheted backwards, working to the outside creating a mesh then working back toward the center filling it in! Now how fun is that! There are also two styles of petal designs you can choose from, or mix and match as you wish.

The little doily crochets up very quickly. I've rated the whole doily Intermediate ability because the roses use Double Treble stitch. If you need help with that, there are YouTube tutorials included in the rose pattern lens that will teach you how.

I hope you enjoy this doily as much as I enjoyed designing it! The pattern will be offered free here on Squidoo for a time, then will be retired to my for-sale pattern site.

Happy crocheting!

Try doing a variegated rose by using the deepest shade of a color on the outermost round of petals, a lighter shade for the next round, and so on until your last round is the lightest shade... or vice versa!

Try experimenting with using your other favorite 3" floral motifs with this doily! Who knows, it just might work!
