Make your own bath salts

Make your own Bath Salts

The holidays can be expensive. In my family, August is expensive. With over 15 birthdays and anniversaries in the month of August, we do what we can to say money. This recipe really has helped control a bleeding checkbook.

This is so easy it's silly.

What you'll need is:

2 parts dead sea salt

2 parts course sea salt

2 parts white cosmetic clay

1 part epsom salt

1 part borax powder

1 part baking soda

1/2 tsp lavender essential oil. The thing with essential oils is you need to know what you're using. Some people may have allergies. Others may have a medical condition that would react very badly with an oil. A little research saves a lot of trouble down the line.

Mix everything but the oil together. Then add the oil little by little making sure it's evenly distributed. Then put in jars.

Told you it was easy.
