1) Read the Story of Joseph's Coat of Many Colors.

2) Color the Joseph's Coat of Many Colors coloring page.

3) Make a Coat - Cut a hole at the bottom of a brown paper grocery bag for the neck. Open the coat by cutting the bag from the neck hole to the top of one side of the bag. Cut arm holes on each side of the bag. Paint the bags with colorful poster paint. If they are dry at the end of the lesson, they can wear them home.

4) Thank God in prayer for always taking something bad, and turning it into something good.

3) Sing Who Did Swallow Jonah? with the children.

4) Big Fish Game - Make a big fish with a big mouth. Children answer questions about what happens in the story of Jonah. Each time they get the answer right they get to reach in the mouth of the big fish and pull out something he swallowed. When there is nothing left to pull out, the game is over. The child with the most items wins.

2) Color the David and Goliath coloring page.

3) Watch the VeggieTales video, "Dave and the Giant Pickle".

4) Ask children what they have done that was helpful, even though they are not as big as grownups.

5) Play David, David, Goliath (Duck, Duck, Goose) - Ask children to sit in a circle. One child walks around circle tapping each child on the head. Each time they tap someone's head they say "David." When they finally call someone "Goliath," that child chases the other one around circle, and back to Goliath's old spot in the circle. Repeat.
