CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF BEAUTY

Updated on March 12, 2013

Let's Shoot Those Clouds

I've been taking pictures for years and have even sold a few. I never seem to get tired of photographing skies, clouds, sunsets and the surrounding landscapes. I've been living in a very scenic area in Northern California for about 10 years and the beauty surrounding us is full of surprises. This lens is for the purpose of sharing some of that beauty with you.

Sky Shot #1

I did this shot by manually taking a series of vertical shots and then combining them in a program called "Panorama Maker". I started at the bottom and worked my way up, with probably a total of three shots.

Sky Shot #2

I took this one looking up through our plum tree blossoms in the front yard.

Sky Shot #4

Here's another one right into the sun. It's always risky, but sometimes works out fine.

Sky Shot #8

I took this one while walking on our street and especially liked the yellow flowers that were springing up everywhere.

Sky Shot #9

I did this shot by manually taking a series of horizontal shots and then combining them in a program called "PanoramaMaker". I was pretty happy with the dancing clouds over the houses next to the airport here at Lake California.

Sky Shot #10

And then there was the time that I shot directly into the sun and was surprised by the outcome.

@Brite-Ideas: Thanks Brite-Ideas: We have some pretty big skies up here where I live. Today was great for that, but I was stuck inside.... Thanks for the comment and looking at the lens. :)
