Make this Great Advent Calendar

How about making this great Advent Calendar? Its truly beautiful to look at and you can make it with everyday items that you could have around the house. If not, you can probably get everything you need at the Dollar Stores. Hang this from the wall or set it on a table or cupboard for a great display.

You can make this easily when you use this Video Tutorial of Advent Calendar

Make this Colorful Cone-Shaped Holiday Tree

This holiday tree is so pretty and colorful you'll want to make several in different sizes and colors. They make great centerpieces for your holiday table, or great decorations for your home or office. Even better, they're so easy to make that the older kids can make their own.

You will need a large circle of card stock or poster paper. It must be flexible enough that it can roll into a cone shape properly.

To draw a circle, I use a dinner plate or pizza pan or some other large circular item to make my pattern.

Besides the paper, you will need scissors, adhesives, and material for trimming.

Make These Gorgeous Hanging Snowflakes

These beauties are made from a K and Company Kit, Swell Noel. All you need to do is punch the snowflakes out, layer them, attach with dimension tape, then trim with the included pearls or rhinestones. Hang them with a thread or ribbon. They're stunning.

If your local store doesn't carry this kit, you can probably find it online.

Try These Christmas Bookmarks or Gift Tags

These items can work as bookmarks or as gift tags. Make them any size you want, in any combination of colors and designs. Older kids can make them using a heat embossed stamped image, and younger kids can use stickers.

They are fast, easy and economical and make great stocking stuffers or gifts for kid's Holiday parties.

Decorate a Zentangle Snowman

For this and similar shapes, locate a white snowman or other holiday-themed shape. They are sold often at craft fairs or in stores where holiday craft projects are found.

You will need a shape and a black Sharpie pen.

Using the black sharpie, make free form shapes on the white form. Fill in the shapes with doodling as shown. This is an art technique known as zentangling.

Punch a small hole in the top, if necessary, and string a ribbon or cord through it. Hang your snowman on a tree or elsewhere.

Its simple enough for children to do, and artistic enough that adults can create lovely images.

I used to do crafts all the time at Christmas. Loved it! If I had more time, I'd do it again. :)

I think my kids would really enjoy making the bookmarks. We can make them together and they can give them out as Christmas gifts. Thank you for sharing.

The Cone-shaped Tree would make a cute christmas tree. So unique! I might try that in my place cause it won't take a lot of space. ^_^ Thank you for this idea!
