free cross stitch pattern another Panda Zoo poster

Updated on April 2, 2014

Original Poster

WPA Poster

This is the second pattern I have done based on an old zoo poster of a panda. There is a link to the other one at the bottom of the page. These posters were made in the early 1930's by WPA artists. WPA hired artists to give them jobs during the depression and they did lots of wonderful posters.

Brookfield Zoo

In case you don't know, the Brookfield Zoo is in Chicago and it is quite a nice one. I didn't know they had a panda way back then, though, that's kind of surprising. Anyway, I made a pattern.

Pattern Information

The stitch count is 124 wide by 198 high. It is designed for 14 count white Aida, but the pattern is so simple you could easily do it in 16 or 18 count. It only uses 5 DMC colors and is 6 pages long.
