Yet Another Crochet Bearded Beanie Pattern

Updated on July 2, 2017

Actually It's the Link to My Free Mustache Hat Pattern on Instructables

This is my free bearded beanie Pattern that was conceived from a custom creation for a client on

This is a Creative Commons (c) pattern so you are welcome to use it however you please and even alter it!

This hat is inspired by the hat found on DoodyBrain's Blog. I had never seen this hat before and I took on the challenge.

This is not my original idea although the pattern is mine. I got the idea for this hat from Scandinavian Grace.

I entered it into an Instructables contest in 2008 and it won 2nd place. I received a Vintage Pattern book from Lion Brand Yarns as a prize. :)

@anonymous: Here is a free beard for kids on

This is a simple beard pattern for an adult but you can easily make it into a child's beard by using less stitches to start. You can measure the face of a child (20 - 30 stitches) and follow the rest of the pattern.

So funny, must make this for my daughter - she's wanted a beard since she was 2, was so disappointed when I told her girls don't usually grow them.
