How to Draw Dinosaurs for Kids

Updated on April 17, 2013

Learn to draw dinosaurs, for kids and adults

Do you want to learn how to draw dinosaurs? We've put together a great collection of resources so you can learn from the experts.

Learning to draw dinosaurs is a great follow-on activity for children who love coloring dinosaur pictures. Dinosaurs were some of the first pictures my 4 year old drew. And this week when I collected my 2 year old from childcare he came rushing over with a picture to show me and said it was a dinosaur - he showed me the 'long tail' and the head. It was almost plausible!

We've also found that our preschoolers love to watch their Dad learn how to draw dinosaurs. They are also amused by Mum trying to draw dinosaurs, but for less flattering reasons ...

Younger children will love to color pictures their parents have drawn. And older children will enjoy learning to draw dinosaur pictures themselves and then coloring or painting them.
