How to make earrings - with pearl and silver findings

Updated on February 19, 2012

Create these beautiful earrings in less than an hour

These easy to create earrings will make a unique gift for a friend or to match a new outfit.

To make them you will need earring wires - I use sterling silver but steel wires are also OK, silver plate crimping beads, glass, pearl or other beads of your choice and jewellery wire.

You will easily find supplies at a local bead or craft store or online. Consider re-using beads from a necklace that is broken or one you find in a thrift store.

Begin by assembling a pattern that you like placing two of the crimping beads at the bottom and one at the top.

Thread bead wire through the beads and using crimpers close the cimping beads at the bottom to secure the beads in place.

Assemble the beads into a pattern. Add 2 crimping beads at bottom and 1 at top.

Add earring wire to top of earring and fold back wire through crimp and as many beads as you can.

Ensuring there is no space squeeze crimping bead to secure. Voila - you have a beautiful pair of earrings!

If you have more beads think about making a necklace and earring set. For information about how to create the necklace go to How to make a new necklace for (almost)free!
