Beautiful Swarovski Dangle Earrings Made with Vintaj Natural Brass Components

If you are looking to make a simple, inexpensive, yet beautiful gift for someone that you love or even for yourself, this pair of beautiful Swarovski crystal dangle earrings is easy to make, yet look very stylish. In order to keep the price down, I have made these Swarovski dangle earrings with Vintaj Natural Brass components. Vintaj is a new company on the jewelry market that sells jewelry making components that are twistable, bendable, and meant to be used as blank canvases in the jewelry making process.

The Vintaj line of components is very reasonable and affordable, and easy to use. They have even published a top notch design book to help you come up with ideas.

Here are all of the components that I am using to make these Swarovski dangle earrings

The Vintaj Natural Brass jewelry components that I am using to make these Swarovski dangle earrings are as follows:

  • Vintaj 1.5 inch eye pin
  • Vintaj 20mm classic French ear wire
  • Vintaj princess dragonfly charm beads
  • Swarovski crystal 6mm rondelle beads

Why Use Vintaj Natural Brass?

I have chosen to use Vintaj Natural Brass components for two reasons. They are very affordable. They are very cool.

Vintaj can be purchased easily from Amazon, as well as from Lake Erie Artists Gallery directly. This is a new line for Lake Erie Artists Gallery, but it comes with lots of great ideas both from their website and from their book, and it is a great line to learn on because it is so affordable. The vintage look is very in style right now, and so is saving money on gifts. To make these earrings, just follow the simple steps below using the components listed:

Step 1: Attach the Vintaj dragonfly to the eye pin

The first step is an easy one, and you just need a pair of needle nose pliers to slightly open the loop on the eye pin, and slip the dragonfly bead over the loop. Then close the eye pin loop. Do this for both earrings. It should look like this ---->

Step 2: Add the Swarovski crystal rondelle bead

The next step is to add the Swarovski crystal bead. Although I have used a rondelle here, you can also use a bicone or round bead. I happen to prefer the rondelle shape as an offset to the other shapes in this particular design. Swarovski crystal rondelle beads come in a variety of colors, and you can use any color that you wish.

An optional step is to add the bead caps on both sides of the Swarovski crystal bead. I show it pictured both ways here, but the finished earrings have the bead caps.

Step 3: Finishing the loop at the top of the dangle

For this step you need a round nose pliersand a wire cutter. Create your loop by winding the wire around the round nose of the pliers and then back around itself. I wrapped the wire around itself a few times to add to the design. Then cut off any extra wire that is left over, and tuck in the end of the wire.

Straighten your loop and it will look like this. ------>

Step 4: Adding the Vintaj French ear wire

The final step is adding the Vintaj French ear wire to the top loop. Take the needle nose pliers and slightly open the loop on the bottom of the ear wire, make sure you are putting your earring bottom on in the right direction, then close the loop. You are done with one, just repeat and you have a beautiful pair of Swarovski dangle earrings.
