The Work of J Thomas Duke Photography

Updated on March 26, 2013

Howdy Squidoo Folks from Jim/J Thomas Duke Photography

New and improved-check out my much improved site with new navigation and much more to look at and even buy if you find a gem or 2.

I'm a full time professional pilot for United Airlines (now the largest in the world), and a part time professional photographer. I've been flying for about 27 years as a profession, with 15 years under my belt with the USAF/USAFR and over 14 years flying with the "Friendly Skies". I have been an avid photographer since I was a teenager, owning my first SLR (a Konica A3 Autoreflex) and even developing and enlarging B/W pictures.

Recently I decided I needed to have a second profession, and decided photography was a perfect fit for my busy schedule, since I could shoot architecture and landscapes on my layovers with United, and shoot portraits and weddings on the weekends on my days off. I switched to digital photography purchased a Nikon D300 and then a bit later a D700. When I moved to the Austin area I found house out in the country that I built a small portrait studio in.
