Knifty Knitter Loom Sets by Provo Craft
These are the Knifty Knitter brand loom sets distributed by Provo Craft. Each set comes with a hook, yarn needle, and basic directions to get started knitting on the looms.
The long loom set comes with 4 looms in sizes 10 inches (pink), 14 inches (yellow), 18 inches (green) and 22 inches (blue). If you are interested in knitting blankets and larger pieces of flat, or double-sided knit, these are the looms for you. The advantage of the long looms is the double rake which allows for more versatility in the type of stitches made.
The round loom set comes with looms 5 1/4 inches (blue), 7 1/4 inches (red), 9 1/4 inches (green) and11 1/4 inches (yellow). Knitting in the round is fun and the compact nature of the round looms is suitable for those that like to take their knitting with them. Hats, socks, sweaters and shawls are commonly knitted on the round looms.
This is a new assorted loom set that comes with the green round loom (9 1/4 inches), the red round loom (7 1/4 inches), the flower loom and the 10 inch (pink) long loom. If you want to try out both long and round looms this is the set for you. They are also convenient because they are small and easy to take with you for knitting on the go.

Pattern Booklets - Knifty Knitter Pattern Booklets by Provo Craft
These pattern booklets are distributed by the Provo Craft. They are small, usually 15 pages, but they are packed full of information. They usually contain techniques for the basic use of the loom, such as cast on, knitting and cast off. They also contain tips for the beginner, such as how to make a brim on a hat, or how to create a drawstring cast off.
Devoted to afghan patterns, this 15-page booklet features afghans made with the blue long loom, the green long loom and the purple rectangle loom. Basic stitch directions given in this book are the "one-over-one," "one-over-two," and "two-over-two." This pattern booklet also helps beginners understand the crochet cast-off and the difference between single panel knit and double panel knit. The waffle, or honeycomb, stitch is featured in one afghan pattern. Another interesting pattern is the sundance blanket, which shows knitters how to alternate the pegs wrapped to produce multicolored knit. There are a total of 7 afghan patterns, including 2 for baby.
This booklet was created with the long looms in mind. It is my favorite of all the booklets because it goes well beyond the basics. Packed into 15 pages are basic instructions for loom knitting, "one-over-one," "one-over-two," and "two-over-two" stitches. Double rib knitting and the honeycomb techniques are here too. You'll learn how to increase stitch, decrease stitch, crochet cast off, chain stitch and mattress stitch panels together for an invisible seam. Patterns include a hat for the long yellow loom, 2 scarves for the pink long loom, a backpack for the blue long loom and spool loom, a felted bag for the yellow long loom, felted flowers for the spool loom, 2 afghans and a pillow for the long blue loom, a plastic bag holder for the green long loom, pot scrubbers for the flower loom. An introduction to the art of felting is provided along with the basics of dyeing knit with Kool-Aid.
This 15 page booklet is all about hats. You'll learn to do the rib stitch on a round loom, as well as create different styles of hat brims. The rolled brim, double brim, and ribbed brim are all explained. The gathered top finish and flat finish here, so you can learn to make the top of your hat in different styles too. Make horizontal and vertical stripes in your hats, or learn to weave to create a basket weave on the top of a hat.
These are looms that aren't sold as part of a set. They can only be purchased individually.
A long loom that is shaped like a rectangle, rather than rounded at the ends like the other Provo Craft long looms. It is used primarily for afghans, blankets and scarves.
The adult hat loom is slightly smaller than the XL yellow loom and slightly larger than the L green loom. Although it is smaller than the XL loom, it has more pegs for tighter knit.
Flowers are fun to loom and you can embellish your favorite knit with them, or use the flower loom to knit. With many patterns available for the flower loom, you'll wonder how you lived without this one.
The spool loom is great for making straps and small handles for you knit.
Pattern Books - Knifty Knitter Pattern Books
These books do not come from Provo Craft, they come from people who love to knit. All are written for loom knitters that happen to be using the Provo Craft Knifty Knitter looms. If you are ready to take your loom knitting to the next level, I highly recommend investing in these pattern books. Each of them are excellent in their own way.
The pom pom maker is for making pom poms and tassels to embellish your knit.
The loom clips can shorten the length of any long loom. Making the looms adjustable in size, creates endless possibilities for your long looms.
You'll want to keep extra hooks on hand. In the event that you misplace one, you'll never have to miss a chance to knit.
The small replacement pegs are for repairing the long looms. (Amazon has the photos mixed up for this item. The small pegs are white and the large pegs are semi translucent.)
