Butterflies, Flowers, Lighthouses. Wonderful Photographs!
Designs from Photographs
I love to take photographs. It is a wonderful way to view the world from a whole different point of view. With camera in hand, I am able to find beauty wherever I go. It seems I am always looking for the next good photo
With hundreds of photos in my computer I started to look for a way to share my work. I found CafePress to be a great outlet for showing off my photos on a host of products.
In my Cafe Press shop you can find my photos on greeting cards, clothing, household items, and items that are just for fun. The subjects of my photos include butterflies, flowers, lighthouses and other scenes from my travels.
There are several sections in my cafepress shop. Each section highlights a different group of designs created from my photographs. CafePress

Big Red Lighthouse - Holland Michigan
I love lighthouses and traveling, and since my retirement in 2006 photographing lighthouses has become my favorite passtime. My husband and I have made trips to Wisconsin, Michigan, South Carolina, Maine, Georgia, and Florida to capture just the right photograph of lighthouses. The lighthouse in this photo is in Holland, Michigan. It is unusual with its Dutch architecture and bright red color. The beautiful fall leaves when we were visiting made a great frame for the lighthouse photo.
Cape Florida Lighthouse
This lighthouse was a photographers dream. Would you like this photo in your home?
Beautiful Sunrise - Florida Sunrise
We were in Florida in November of 2007 and the entire week we were there I was able to witness the most spectacular sunrise and sunsets. Because it was in the fall of the year, at our location we were able to see both the sun rise and set over the ocean. I had never seen the sun reflecting on the water as it came up before and it was spectacular. This photo was taken from the balcony of our condo. Some of the others shown on the products below were taken at sunset in a nearby park. In the sunset photos it appears as if the sun is melting into the water. Fantastic Views!
Country Barns - Wisconsin Barn and Farm Buildings
I have a friend who grew up on an Iowa farm and still loves old farm buildings and machinery. On a trip to Door County, Wisconsin, my husband and I decided to photograph lots of old barns so that I could use them to create a calendar for him for Christmas. Door County is rich with farmland and has lots of wonderful old barns. My husband and I had so much fun exploring the countryside and stopping whenever we saw an old barn that we thought would work for the calendar.
Blue Morpo Butterfly - Tropical Butterflies
I volunteer at The Butterfly House in Chesterfield, Missouri, so I have access to photograph some beautiful tropical butterflies. I love the colorful Blue Morpho species. They are bright blue and black and are one of the favorites of visitors to the butterfly house. The design shown in this photo is one for a calendar.
Bright Yellow Sunflower - Birthday Card
Photographing flowers close up is always a fun activity for me. One Sunday morning after church, I noticed some bright yellow flowers growing along the road. I had my husband turn around so I could get my camera and capture them in a photograph. It was right after an early morning rain shower so I was able to capture them with drops of rain on their petals. They were growing by the dozens and looked so very cheerful, that I thought they would make great designs for greeting cards.
Beautiful Hibiscus Flowers - Yellow Hibiscus
I was impressed with the wide variety of Hibiscus flowers that were in full bloom when we were in Florida last March. They are such beautiful and cheerful looking flowers that I thought they would make great designs for many of my Cafepress products. I was able to capture many varieties in bright colors and also a beautiful white Hibiscus. The bright yellow Hibiscus in this photo was growing alongside the road over on Jupiter Island.
Palm at Sunset - Beautiful Florida Palm
Last year when we were in Florida, I decided that I would like to start a photograph collection of Palm Trees. I took hundreds of photos of various types of Palms. I photographed Palms in the daylight, Palms by the water and Palms in the evening. This photo is one I took at sunset in Jupiter, Florida. It is one of my favorites.

Into the Sunset examines how photography has pictured, established and transformed the idea of the American West, from 1850 to the present. The development of photography coincided with the exploration and settlement of the West, and this simultaneous growth resulted in a complex relationship that has shaped the perception of that region's physical and social landscape to this day.
