Metal-Art Beauties

Updated on April 15, 2015

Metal Wall Art

Every once in while one comes across a particular site that just rings with beauty. That beauty is metal wall art. I own a couple of small pieces, nothing real expensive. I do not have an affiliation with this organization, so I do not receive any financial gain. I could not find their art work represented at Amazon.com. I just love metal art and wanted to share. I love the look of metal, how it can be sculptured into unless shapes and forms. And now, with the various different materials available in which to enhance color, there seems to be no end to the imagination. In any case, this is a lens about metal art, where to locate it and I will try to include history as well. I hope you will enjoy your visit.

Even though I could not verify the selling of Metal Wall Art.Com through Amazon.Com., they may carry items that I have shown created by various artist . Metal Wall Art.Com has a wide variety of themes: select by color, size, subject, or for your wine and candle needs.

To your left above you are looking at a bird takes flight above a planet of light and heat, punctuated with streaks of silver. Hand made in USA original artwork, signed by the artist. The web site: Metal Wall Art

Early Sculpture

Early Sculpture

Sculptural pieces can be found that date back to prehistoric times, which are generally made from soft stone materials, ivory or clay. As time went on, more advanced materials began to be used, and very early pieces began to show evidence of the use of copper, gold and silver in addition to the use of clay and stone. Large early sculptures include the Sphinxes of ancient Egypt, as well as decorative statues that were made during this same time period. There are of course many examples of classic Roman sculpture from early times, including relief sculptures that were used on the architecture itself, as well as freestanding and portrait sculptures. The Renaissance was a popular period for sculptural works of art, and many of the pieces created during this time frame, including much of the architectural sculpture, still stand today. Sculpture has always traditionally been used throughout history to represent religious art, and there are many pieces, both modern and ancient, that would fall into the category of religious sculpture. Although some Protestant branches do not approve of sculpture as a representation of religious themes, most religions commonly use them in some form.

I love it. In my lens on Santa Fe you can see the metal wall art that I bought from a street artist. I am looking at it now and love it
