My First Mouse

The little fellow to the right is one of the many ornamental mice that were made by hand, and Made In Japan.

The ornamental mouse is made of styrofoam, and was designed with a loop to hang as an ornament. The little fellow was given cardboard feet for sitting upright on a table.

The small egg-shaped styrofoam ball is felt flocked, and then hand embellished with heart. Hand-made mice are timeless in appearance, and made to warm the young at heart.

The mouse of the orient was chosen for its personality, and serves as an example of what a hand-made mouse from the 1960s and 1970s looks like. This mouse is one of the mice my Mother hung on the Christmas tree when I was a little girl.

This page is all about hand-made mice and how they are made.

Three Bind Mice

This little trio was insppired by an old childhood song titled, "Three Blind Mice." Each mouse was needle felted around a wire armeture to allow for the mice to hold a pose.

Felted Rodents Unite!

There are real mice, and then there are the cute mice. This mouse house is for the cute ones made by hand. There are many ways to make a mouse, and the needle felted versions are popular. The artists' creations always take on a life of their own.

How To Make A Needle Felt Mouse In A Box

Above is a simple "how-to" make a mouse video designed to stimulate the mind, spark creativity, and shows how to make the little mouse in a box from start to finish.

The Mini Pet Mouse to the left is a cute little fellow that serves as an example of what a 'ready made' mouse on Amazon looks like.

I know people call me weird for liking mice, but they are so cute, especially the field mice...no I don't share my house with them and my cat makes sure of that...how can one not like the little stuffed mice and the pictures of them...so cute! This inspires me to draw or paint a picture of one.
