My Photoshop Experience

Updated on April 13, 2015

Number One Photo Editing Software

Adobe Photoshop is one of the best photo creating and editing software. It is the most popular and one of the more expensive software available.

Nevertheless, as the saying goes, "You pay for what you get." Adobe Photoshop is powerful software. For artists and graphic designers, they cannot risk perfecting their designs on mediocre photo software.

My Own Personal Experience

Beginning of the Netpreneur

I started creating my first website in the beginning part of 2008. My first web page had a simple header, was not unique and similar to many seen on the internet. This is because I bought an already eBook website template. Modifying it to make it mine probably took more time than if I started from scratch. However, I was inexperience at the time. It was and has been a great learning experience.

Today my Ebooktreesaver website does not look anything like the pre-made template. This site was the beginning of self-teaching, CSS and HTML script language. It is the beginning of learning to create graphics to personalize my own websites and creating images for gift products.

Preloaded Computer Software

Old Time Computer Users Know What This is

Buying a preloaded computer with full versions of Windows Office Suite, games, photo software and more was the standard of computers prior to the time Windows XP came out.

Old timers like me remember the days when computers came fully loaded along with the software CDs, floppy disk and 3.5 diskettes that had the software programs just in case you needed to reload the software.

I loved my photo software that is good for Windows 95 and 98. However, my old photo software still works on my Windows XP. Yes, I am still behind. My computers are on their dying beds.

Computers today are very basic and software is extra. You do get the trial versions of Office and some other software on new computers. Long gone are the fully loaded computers.

Update to Better Photo Software

Adobe Photoshop as a Gift

In 2009, Photoshop C23 was given to me as a gift. Nevertheless, I continued using my old software for nearly a year after I installed Photoshop. I found it complicated and intimidating, as most powerful software tends to be. However, Photoshop tutorials are found everywhere on the internet. YouTube is a great site to start with. Adobe Photoshop website has a lot of information of how to use the software.

Since I have gotten over the intimidation, I use Photoshop every day. I now have Photoshop C25 installed, which has 3D designing capacity. However, my computers do not have the right graphics card for the 3D design part on Photoshop.

When I get my new computers, what fun I will have with the 3D design on Photoshop.

Upgrade to Photoshop C26 Software

Creative Designers Will Love It

Note before buying any software, make sure your operating system and hardware has the requirements listed for minimum performance of that software. Better if it is above the minimum requirement.

Consider upgrading to Photoshop C26 or Full Version for new users. It is the best photo editing software,

Photoshop is awesome for sure! I understand what you mean about hanging on to the 'old' way of doing things when it comes to computers. I tend to want to do the same thing but these times seem to force us to have to keep up eventually. :)

Wow, this is just what I needed to know. I have experienced much of the same things you have but you are way ahead of me. I have an old PictureIt program that I love and I desperately need a new computer and it will not be compatible so know it is time to get on board with Photoshop. Thanks so much for this great review.

Nice interesting hub, it will be very helpful for those requiring advice.

I have a mac and haven't found any need to add to what I have here with iPhoto, is seems to cope with all my needs.

Elsie Hagley The Mac is more geared for photo editing than Windows. I use to have an iPhoto. I still do but it is an old software and does not work on my Window's laptop.
