Paper Folding is Inventive and Fun With These Awesome Gadget Inspired Projects

Here's a great one-stop resource page featuring Origami Gadgets that you can fold and make from paper. Lots of people refer to these items as 'Boys Toys' but I'm female and mad about new tech items as well. That said, this is the perfect page to make cool paper creations for men because there's nothing cutesy here.

Learn how to make your own cameras, phones, watches and other cool and clever gadget designs which are perfect if you're into your gizmos. There are designs and projects here to suit easy, intermediate and advanced paper folders. An affordable way to get your very next gadget fix!

Origami Cameras

Black Paper Looks Cool for Making Cameras

I really like the use of solid black origami paper in making these particular gadget designs. I think it just looks very cool and simple to fold gadgets like cameras from plain black paper. There is no need for anything fancy.

I've also seen some really great designs that are made and folded from newsprint which looks very modern and stylish as well. Have fun experimenting with different papers to get just the look that you want.

How to Fold a Dollar Bill Paper Camera Design

I don't know about you, but I seem to get a new camera every year or two trying to keep it updated to the latest specs. Making cameras from paper would sure work out to be a far cheaper option plus you can choose to go retro or modern.

I've found some excellent camera tutorials from the cube camera which is basically a clever box design which you can pull in and out kind of like the shutter on a camera, to a fun and quirky camera design which pops open to reveal a picture inside and some very cool looking digital SLR cameras with big lenses on the front.

Folding Other Gadgetry

Look to YouTube for Finding Cool Phone Making Videos

There are lots of phone designs and tutorials online but most of them are pretty dire. If you look on YouTube, you can select out the best of the crop with a couple of phones to fold and some stands for your own smartphone which are not only cool but functional too.

I adore the old retro telephone phones with the big finger dials. They were so much fun to use, even though they took longer than just speed dialing or tapping out a number on your smartphone or cell. They actually have one of these in our local museum.

And what about those old 80s style brick phones which were the first handheld phones you could get but were so big and heavy that they looked ridiculous when people actually walked around with them.

I keep a big supply of colored origami paper in stock so I have every color I could want available for when I get sudden whims on making things - which happens very often! There is nothing more annoying than not having the color you need for a particular project.

Cool Paper Gadget Goodies

I am a gadget girl pure and simple and I like all kinds of tech items including Apple devices. I don't consider myself to be an Apple fanboy or girl, as it happens, but some of their products like the iPad rock. But then I also use a Windows PC and an Android phone.

So I guess I spread my gadget love around some. If you search on YouTube you can find some other great items that you can rustle up from a humble sheet of paper. I hope you've enjoyed reading this hub today, thanks for your visit. Have fun with whatever you decide to make!

Get What You Need from eBay

I use eBay for a lot of my craft supplies because I often get great deals here and there is lots of variety as well. Etsy is another great place to find craft supplies to use.
