Origami Shoes: A Wonderfully Inexpensive Way to Fill Your Closet or Wardrobe!
If you're a bit of a shoe collector or fanatic like me, you should really enjoy this resource page I put together which shows you how to make lots of different types of footwear - all from paper! Shoes are a big love of mine and being able to create my own pairs from cute papers, is a wonderfully inexpensive way of adding to my collection.
Which are your favorite styles? Personally I love heels since they look so elegant but I can't wear them because my feet only like flats. Whatever types of footwear you like, you are sure to find something cute to make on this page where I've included heels, boots, ballet slippers, baby booties and more. Enjoy the fun selection.

Old or young, you too can enjoy making some fabulous fashionable shoes from paper. Try creating these from different paper styles such as duo sided paper, patterned papers (scrapbook papers are good) and also shiny foils.
Don't forget that you can decorate and embellish your finished creations with little gems and stickers. I made an easy to follow craft tutorial based on this design: Shoe Folding Instructions
More than any other type of design, I really enjoy making high heels the most from a range of pretty papers and foils. is a little tricky to fold with, so practice with plain paper first. However it looks really good when you use it for a finished design. Origami foil paper
My daughter also loves this paper craft too. This heeled shoe design here is not difficult or complicated to make and you also get the bonus that they can either stand up unaided or you can glue them down flat for mounting onto a framed picture for the wall or onto a handmade card creation.

You can find a very good selection of paper on Amazon including plain, patterned, two-colour, glow-in-the-dark and metallic foils. The foil papers look really pretty but they can be tricky to fold well with so practice the item on plain paper first before using it.
eBay is a great place to check for origami papers and craft materials. Don't forget to check out the eBay auctions to find origami paper to make your shoes with. Not only might you find better deals than you'd get elsewhere but it's great for finding unusual papers too.
Another place I like to get my supplies from for this craft is Etsy. There is plenty of choice and you can pick up items that are hard to find elsewhere.
Feel free to leave a comment or even ask a question on my shoe origami projects page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks so much for dropping by.
