Nightie Patterns

Finding a nightie pattern is easy! Just go down to the fabric store, spend a while pouring through pattern catalogs, then dig through huge drawers of envelopes hoping they have the size you need in the style you want. Ugh! Who needs it?

Welcome to the internet age, when all you have to do is check one website after another until you find what you want. What did you say? That's not much better? I agree!

I am also a busy mom. I know how hard it is to juggle everything and still find time to shop. I almost never have time to sit in a fabric store and browse through sewing catalogs, although I used to love doing that. There are just too many demands on my time! And I know I'm not the only one.

That's why I have done your research for you, and gathered all the best patterns for nightgowns right here in one place! Sure, you can spend couple of hours shopping online while you watch the evening news, cook supper and help the kids with homework; but, why bother?

Just check these great gown patterns I've found! I hope you will find exactly what you need, without the need to spend hours and hours searching. I found great prices too!

I haven't sewn a nightgown. Mainly I sew to repair garments, add buttons and holiday crafts too.

This is great, My mom will love it because in a nursing home it is more convenient to wear a nightgown, rather than a pajama, thanks for sharing

Excellent idea making night clothing has always been something I do for fun. My grandmother was a very large women and I used to sew her nighties and bed jackets.

Now, if I could make a sexy red nightie without a sewing machine, I'd be WAY in! I can't even sew on a button but sure love the patterns you've featured here.

I have a couple of boxes of my husband's mother's sewing patterns. I need to get them out and research them. I am not much of a seamstress but sure admire those that are.

I've found many vintage patterns at estate sales. Sometimes the sellers will make you a deal on a whole box full just to get them moved along so they don't have to bother with storing them. If you end up with some that you don't want, you can usually sell them pretty easily on eBay.

I would have never thought of trying to make my own nightgowns. I have a sewing machine but currently just use it for doing repairs. Food for thought?

Great idea! I have fabric I'm not sure what to do with. A nightgown would be perfect!

Home sewn nighties are super comfy. I have sewn lots of them. Robes too! "Squid Angel blessed."

Lots to choose from here - Blessings, though I would have liked to see a few more patterns for larger sizes. I did once make my own nightgown, very successful except that the knitted jersey cloth was a bit thick and heavy.
