They do say take a picture, it lasts longer. . . .
I believe it does! Over the years I have taken tons and tons of pictures, beginning with my first camera, when I was about 6 years old which I got for Christmas. The first thing I took a picture of we're the rest of my gifts! From then on I always enjoyed picture taking. I never got to the professional level, or took classes, just took the usual "family" and especially our travel pictures. I wanted to share some. I love to look at others photos, so why not share some of my own?

Going Places, Seeing Things
She was very interesting :)
I have always loved to get out and see other places. As a child, we really didn't go very far, but we did go to our grandparents farm most summers. I tribute that to my love for the great outdoors and also my love for farms and everything country. You will see many pictures of this coming up, as I have taken plenty of photographs of places like I remember as a child. I have some of the pictures of the actual places as well scattered in there. This is Upstate N.Y. a little town named Prattsville, after a terrible flood hit the town last year, they were celebrating their rebuilding efforts this very weekend.
Small Town Eatin
I honestly don't remember where this picture was taken as of now, but when it comes back to me I will definitely post it ! (It's coming back to me, slowly, it was definitely somewhere in Pennsylvania)
Rustic all over
This is the barn at the farm in the Catskills Upstate New York where we went as children. My grandparents lived on my Uncle's dairy farm and we were always going there mostly in the summer, and so many memories were made there. We milked the cows, sent them to pasture, were able to go out for hours and hours at a time on a hundred acres free as can be. Fields of hay to woods of evergreens.....Can't get any better than that!
Memories of my Youth
Here is my Grandparents farmhouse where we traveled to as children many summers mostly. They lived on the dairy farm. This was an old boarding house way way back in the old days. There are still numbers on the rooms, which were kept and painted over.
We all just loved to chase the cows to pasture and were so busy running off on our own discovering nature on all the plenty of rambling acres and acres of rolling hills and woods. We cherish these memories so.
In the fall, there were hunting trips where we would see the deer hanging proudly from the trees by the house, the family was and still are big game hunters.
For Your Memories
This is on route 30 Upstate New York on our way to our own piece of heaven. Since growing up loving the country what else was to come but to have my own!
More of route 30 New York :)
Here we go again. . . .
This is what we sometimes deal with if we hit the road these days, but that's okay, we'll get there anyway !
Hoover Dam is a terrific place to visit!
This is the new bridge over the Hoover Dam.
This farm is near Cooperstown New York, snapping in the passenger seat as we drive by ;)
A gorgeous park in the great state of Washington, a beautiful state!
In the same Park in Washington State...
A nice time for a view
If you look closely you will see a floating golf course! The Coeur d'Alene golf course floats! I understand it's the worlds only one and it's in the state of Idaho.
Here you can see how BIG the Radio Flyer Really is !
Here we have taken a glorious boat trip along the Hudson River in NY, where we floated by the lit up Twin Towers just one year before their demise. It was a beautiful sight to behold. We are very lucky to live so close to the city, but seeing it from this vantage point is like no other. It is such a sad event in our lifetimes :( Wishing my camera had gotten some better shots.Below is a photo from 1992 when I was on a wedding cruise on the same river and it was such a beautiful day.
