for the Green Round Loom

Here is a super cute throw pillow loomed by Joan Toczek for publication on the Knifty Knitter blog. She used Kids Red heart yarn in the color Playful and she add some Lion Brand Fun fur to make it fun and fuzzy. It's loomed on the Knifty Knitter green round loom by knitting 60 rows in a flat panel. The colors here a perfect for a young girl. You could also do this project in the colors to match your living room.

What you will need to make this pillow:

  • Green Round Knifty Knitter Loom
  • Red Heart Kid's Yarn (2 skeins, or 1 skein and fun fur yarn)
  • Knitting Hook

Pillow by GoodKnitKisses

Below are video instructions for a beautifully stitched pillow by GoodKnitKisses on YouTube. She uses a wooden long loom with a tight guage. To convert this on to a Knifty Knitter loom, use a bulky weight yarn, or two strands of medium weight yarn held together as one. I would use the green loom for this project.

Round Log Style Pillow Pattern

Here is a quick and easy pillow that Laura, from the LauraBrayDesigns blog, loomed. She used a round loom and made the knit just big enough to fit around pre-made round pillow form that she picked up at the store. I can see this going beautifully in a family room, or on a porch.

Gathered Circle Pillow

This isn't so much a pattern as it is a fun idea for a round pillow. If you have some experience loom knitting, you can likely envision how to make this yourself. It's a tube of knit wide enough to fit around the perimeter of a circular pillow form. The knit is gathered together at the top and bottom. A button is placed on each side at the gathered edge. You can explore more about this pillow at "Cut Out and Keep." The size loom you choose depends on the size of the pillow form you buy. For a large pillow, you would want to use the XL round yellow loom.

It's a perfect homemade accent to your sewing or craft room. It's made with the draw string cast on and the e wrap. In addition to the flower loom, you'll need red yarn, black felt, and some stitch markers to complete this project.
