Play in the house with vinegar and baking soda

Updated on November 21, 2012

It's so easy that I would feel comfortable adding something extra to make it more complex.

All you need is baking soda, vinegar, and if you would love colors, add food coloring of your choice.

Your kids will have so much fun they wouldn't even want to get out of the house.

Make some bubbles

It's interesting in how many ways we can play with so few ingredients. For example, we can put water into a smaller container mixed with baking soda and a coloring and then add vinegar as much as we feel like it, we can fill the tub or pool for children with water, then add here a tube (or bottle) with vinegar and water, and slowly pour baking soda to fill the tub with bubbles and color and more.

Engage your kids to play

Baking soda is not dangerous, it has actually great health benefits. Vinegar is pretty safe, as long as it doesn't get into your eyes and food coloring, as long as it is safe to use it for food, your kids can use it too. You can send your kids to play with these ingredients, but they should do it under your supervision and make sure they will understand what happens if vinegar or baking soda gets into their eyes. It's not dangerous, but it can get pretty scary for them if something goes wrong.
