Project Life 2012 Album Update

Updated on June 21, 2014

This is an exciting time for fans of Becky Higgins' Project Life albums

This year brings several major changes to the Project Life product line. New binders, new artwork and new page protectors are just the beginning.

There are currently five different Core kits for Project Life. These kits sell out almost as soon as they hit Amazon warehouses. Two new kits will soon be introduced for 2013. My suggestion if you are interested in Project Life is to purchase the plastic page protectors while they are in stock. Jump on the Core kits when they are available, and keep taking photos and notes so you will be ready when the kits are back.

New digital products are ready for purchase from These digital sets contain individual files for each core design that can be printed using software such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Using these digital products will let you begin your project if you can't wait for the kits to be restocked.

Many Project Life fans don't use any of the pre-printed Project Life kits. The divided page protectors contain various configurations of pockets that can easily be filled with cards you make on your own.

The newest versions of the Core kits are also in updated packaging. The cardboard storage box contains an inner plastic liner with compartments containing the 4 x 6" and 3 x 4" cards. The organizational tray is also available as a separate item to store your own cards or other small items.

I will provide updates as new products become available.

Confession Time

and My Plans for a New Project Life Album

Last year, I had such good intentions for making a 365 Photos type Project Life Album. Sadly, I did not score high on the follow-through scale. The photo taking lasted for most of the month of January, but trailed off soon after. I did not keep up with the daily journaling, either.

My new plan is to approach this Project Life album one week at a time. If I don't get an interesting photo every single day, that's OK. I will fill in blank spaces with more journalling or just add extra photos from any given day if they help tell a story.

I have another photo project about to begin that will use one of the older binders and lots of the new page protectors. The past three summers have found me traveling across the country to attend family weddings. This vacation book will document all three years and include lots of memorabilia. The new envelope pages will be perfect for saving these loose items.

Page Protector Styles

Now you can customize your album and include a mix of page styles. Some of the new pages allow a mix of vertical and horizontal photos on the same page.
