Who Is Repaints By IsaBelle
Ask the artist . . . .
Nancy IsaBelle Ashing's interest in art began at the age of thirteen. She majored in art at Immersion High School for 4 years, and then went to college to study Fashion Design.
At this time, she became a freelance fashion illustrator, and then applied her talent to working with commercial art for awhile, after which she went back into fine arts and studied painting and printmaking.
This remarkable artist started exhibiting professionally with her first solo show at the age of 26 in Toronto, Canada, and has "practiced painting" for approximately thirty years.
"Fergie" of Black Eyed Peas by Repaints by Isabelle
According to Ms. Ashing, she "really just stumbled into the fine art of repainting after a 10 year hiatus from painting." She said she vowed that she would never paint again, but fell madly in love with the dolls.
"I'm always so very excited to get my hands on one (doll) to transform them the way that I think I would want to see them come to life." And come to life, they do. Her beautiful portrait dolls are appreciated by fans, collectors, and fellow artists alike.
