Are Crochet notions your guilty pleasure? Are you able to pass by the crochet hooks section at your local yarn or craft store without pausing? I'm certainly not able to! I have to stop and gaze to make sure there's nothing new I've missed. Even after more than 40 years of crocheting, I'm always looking for new product innovations.

Recently I was thrilled to discover the Lizbeth Crochet Thread Holder! It IS the coolest thing since sliced bread! It's a simple 2-piece gizmo that snaps together with your ball of thread inside. The thread comes out the little slot and the ball of thread just spins round and round. The payback? No more dirty thread from bouncing all over the floor! No more picking dog hair out of your doilies! It is a beautiful thing, I tell you! And you can find it right here to look at.

That's just one of my new favorites. Awhile back I discovered the Artbin Yarn Drum and it, too, changed my crocheting for the better! It's a nifty canvas bag with a zipper around the top edge. It has pull thru slots for yarn, and will store several skeins of yarn or 6-8 large thread balls. Or, you can tuck your large project into it. There's even a sweet little zipper pouch that clips on to the handle to keep those pesky crochet notions all in one place! It is so lightweight that you'll be impressed with the ease of carrying it.

A third favorite is an oldie but a goodie, the Clover Yarn Cutting Pendant. I was recently working on a project that has a color change every two rows which means lots of frequent yarn clipping! This pendant is right there hanging around your neck whenever you need it. So very handy!

I couldn't talk about crochet notions without mentioning my set of Clover Soft Touch hooks, which enable me to keep crocheting despite arthritis. I own these hooks in every size they carry and use them all. The minute I discovered them all of my other yarn hooks went into storage. These hooks wear like iron, they are incredibly smooth, and magically they don't make your hand cramp up when you use them! I'm not sure how that works, but I love it.

I own, use and love every one of the items above and promise you will too!

I've also added for your review some new products that I'm considering trying too! All of them are different brands of grip handle crochet hooks. Have you used them? Tell us your thoughts please in the comments section below!

Save A Lot By Getting The Set!

If you know and love the Clover Soft Touch hook, here is a great way to save money by purchasing them in a set. They usually run around $7-$8 apiece so this is a good deal.

My husband gave the the yarn drum for my birthday. Don't know if I'd do a review of it, but I like it. Nice list!
