Crochet Popover Scarf With Pockets by SheilaSparkles
The First Scarf That WON'T Tick You Off To Wear!
I designed this scarf for myself. I had gotten slapped in the face that day for the last time by the flapping tails of my winter scarf. Scarves are great, but they have one problem - they just won't stay put! They're either blowing off of you in the wind, slapping you in the face, or getting tangled up in your purse strap. Annoying, yes? Well, I promise if you make this scarf, it will never annoy you! It has the added benefit of working like one of those dickies - if you button your coat over it, it looks like you've done some extensive layering! (Without all the weight). It's hard to see with the fuzzy yarn from the photo, but the top black and white thing you see is the band that pops over your head. You can pull it all the way up over your nose to keep warm too!
So whip one up - if you want to "do the Decadent," choosing luxurious feel-good yarns, go for it! If not, any yarn will do just fine. You might even find yourself making up a few more for holiday gifts!

A Word About Yarn Selection...
You want to keep your yarns in similar thicknesses. Now, if you fall in love with a sport-weight yarn, just use two strands of it held together!
When you do a fuzzy section, try to follow it with a smooth section. That way you can correct any mistakes immediately. With the fuzzy yarns, ripping out is near impossible, don't even try. Just increase or decrease a stitch on the following row.
