Help! My Crafts Are Taking Over!
When we moved into our home several years ago, I had great intentions of using my huge attic as a wonderful craft area! Sadly, because I was busy doing a lot of hip and knee replacement surgeries along with other medical stuff, I was unable (so far) to convert the attic into the craft room of my dreams!
I'm a crochet and jewelry designer, and I am constantly creating something. Since it's easier to have everything near me at the computer where I write, I'm surrounded by one hot mess! The last couple of days, for example, I've been designing some handmade copper wire and gemstone rings. I see the spools of wire have spilled over the briefcase boundary onto the end table! Enough already!! I've had it!
My husband and I have been finishing our basement room to turn it into a living area. My son put in the new carpet. All of that frees up one bedroom on the main level, which will at least for the foreseeable future be my new craft room. Eventually I still hope to convert that attic... but for right now, a drastic change needs to be made!
Here's the photo of how my work area currently stands. It's... embarrassing! But I'm sharing it to give myself some accountability for future improvement!
As I make progress on my new craft area I'll be sharing the photos here. I'll also share what I learn as I go along.
The Hardest Part Of This....
,,, is giving up my out-the-window view to move myself to the new craft room area! I so enjoy looking out my window at the garden I built and all the little critters that pass by – squirrels, bunnies, birds, and the occasional flock of turkeys or deer. How do I do that?

Note To Self...
I think I'd better keep a spreadsheet of where I end up putting everything!
