Seahorse Light Switch Cover
Make Your Own Seahorse
To go with our Ocean theme, we decided to make a cover plate for the light switch, looking like a seahorse. You can choose any design you like, it is really easy to make. Few materials are needed, just a bit of fantasy!
Remember those fantastic days by the sea- with the sun shining and a breeze to keep you cool....collecting shells or making a sandcastle with the kids......all of these memories can be transformed into craft, making the winter less long and cold.

Seahorse Craft Step 1
To start with, draw a seahorse on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Since you are going to paint it, you can use an old cornflakes or shoe box.
Seahorse Craft Step 2
Color the seahorse, using your imagination. If the theme in the room is pink- go for it! If you are a lover of purple and red- why not? Let the children use their fantasy and color the sea horse in some pretty colors.

"Human development has destroyed a large portion of their natural habitats around the world, and fisheries harvest, based primarily on folk medicinal uses and souvenir production (the dried carcasses are sold as souvenirs..) results in a kill of 200,000,000 seahorses each year......
