Sewing Projects Using Fat Quarters
Perfect Beginning Projects for a Newbie Seamstress!
Fat quarters are amazing to use in sewing projects, especially for novice sewers...and I am definitely a novice! It is so much easier to assemble a project that doesn't require a lot of cutting. I get caught up in the measuring and the angles and the confusion of starting with a long yard of fabric.
Using pre-cut fabrics (and tutorials or patterns that begin with them) gives the beginner seamstress a little more confidence that her (or his) sewing project will turn out the way it was intended instead of a half-finished jumbled mess.
I hope the projects and videos on this page will give you a starting point for sewing with fat quarters. It is so much fun to create pieces this way!

Creative Fabric Storage
This creative gal bought IKEA DVD storage shelves to organize her fabric. I am drooling over this storage idea. By placing it in that small space behind the door, it hardly takes up any room at all! Excellent for small houses or sewing rooms where storage space is very limited.

Methinks it is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to sew; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied.
