The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". It’s our name and it’s our ideal.
Through Legos, kids can be exposed to the basic concepts of Math and Science. Some of these concepts include the spatial reasoning and identifying patterns and proportions among objects. Using Legos, a child will develop his or her ability to visualize, specifically the miniature structures that he wants to build, and then proceeds to planning the best way to be able to complete the said project. It is even possible for kids to easily grasp the concepts of fractions and dividing numbers just by simply playing with Legos. And they do not even notice that they are actually studying something. Even complicated subjects such as advanced mathematics for engineers and physics can be taught using these toys. The principles of weight, balance, and visualizing things in multiple dimensions are very easily absorbed as well.
