36 Fun and Fabulous Family Craft Ideas

I love arts and crafts. I used to volunteer teach an elementary art class and love sharing tutorials for fun crafts to make with kids.

If you are looking at this, then I know you are interested in the best family crafts for you and your family. You want crafts that are fun for the whole family, not too difficult and the finished product will be something to treasure. Included in this article are pictures of the craft project and the site address to take you to the directions, which will tell or show you how to make the craft.

1. Christmas Village

Start saving milk and juice boxes now, so you'll have enough to make a village. Be sure to start early, maybe in October, making these houses with the kids, so no one gets tired of it. Work a couple of hours one day and then start again a day or two later. Keep this a fun family Christmas project by not trying to do it all at one time. 2. Silly Owl

A perfect project for a group of children, like the girl scouts or brownies. This would make a cute, color appropriate for her room, addition to a girl's room. Easy directions are found at love to sew.com.

7. Flower Pot Wind Chimes

8. Party Plush Flowers

21. Tied Fleece Blanket

Everyone in the family can make their own tied fleece blanket by just following the tutorial at Hidden Treasure Crafts. Fleece is so easy to work with and soooo soft to the feel.

22. Pom-Pom Snowman

Homemade Gifts Made Easy not only shows you how to make this cute little snowman, but it also has a tutorial on making the pom poms a quick and easy way.

23. Ice Candle

This is an old craft project that has been around for years, but in case you haven't seen it, I'm including it here. I still think they are beautiful candles. For the directions, go to SUZY'S artsy-crafty.

24. Scarecrow Plant Poke

This little scarecrow plant poke looks easy enough to make, so make a bunch of them to add to centerpieces, wreaths or any other decoration you are making for the fall holidays. Go to Craft Elf for the directions.

26. Cow Catch Game

      This is really an excellent lens - doing crafts together is so much fun for a family. I followed a lot of your links out to see what was going on - you really chose some good stuff. I remember doing the ice candle with my Mother, and I think I will try the leaf candle jar this fall. Pinned to my Crafts I love board, and digg-ed!
