Which Kissies First

Updated on April 30, 2013

Which Kissie Book Should I Start With?

This week, RocketMoms have a challenge to write a "Help Me Decide" Article. Well, I already did one and this is my second this week.

I told you in my last Kissie lens that I wanted to start creating and showing you the finished kissies once I got all the books. I think I have them all but am finding new ones all the time.

Now comes the choice of which pamphlet of Kissies should I start with first. I will be showing you the books and asking you to help me decide. Let me know the next lens on Kissies that you would like to see.

Photo Source: This is a photo of my daughter's Baby Kissie that she created back in 1988 when we were having quality time together. She was 14 years old at the time. This kissie came from the book Plastic Canvas Squeezum Folks

What Are The Selections

Of Books I Am Considering?

I am considering 1) Plastic Canvas Squeezum Folks and 2) Kiss 'N People. Both of these books have Kissie People but each has their own particular look to them. Discussions on each of these books along with photos are below to help you make your decisions.

Photo Source: This is a picture I took for the lens on Making Plastic Canvas Kissies (future lens).

Squeezum Folks - A Plastic Canvas Craft Book

This Plastic Canvas Kissie book has 25 different characters for you to create. You will find a chef, policeman, construction worker, bride and groom, twin babies (girl and boy - see example above), cowboy and many more. They are so darling you may not want to sell or give them away. Make a set for yourself, too.

Sorry the picture is so small. I thought it would be larger but it will let you get an idea. You might want to click on the link to see a larger picture.

Kiss 'n People has quite a few characters in it also. They look different than the last book I showed you. In this book, you will find a graduate, a fireman, a policeman, a cowboy and Indian (might be good for the Cowboys and Indians football game), a sailor and many more. These are so cute that you had better make a set for yourself.

Now Is Your Time - To Help Me Make My Decision

Both Books Together
Both Books Together

Anyone can answer this question whether you are a member of Squidoo or not. I need answers from everyone so I can make a educated decision based upon your answers. If I don't receive any answers to this poll, I will be in the same quandry that I am currently in and they probably won't get made due to indecision. So, Please, Please take this poll.

No, the pumpkin is not from one of these books but it is one of the kissies that I have sewn up. It comes from the book Plastic Canvas Squeezums. Scroll down the module until you find this book.

Little Baby Girl Kissie - From the kissies I made in the 80s

Little Girl Baby Kissie
Little Girl Baby Kissie

While going through some of my boxes, I found a sack of kissies that I had made back in the 80s.

This little girl was from the Plastic Canvas Squeezum Folks book. She didn't have her eyes so I put them on before I took the picture. She is still missing her nose because I can't find my pom poms. I will have to go to a craft store to get them.

The Vote Is In

By an almost unanimous vote

Well, from the folks that have visited this lens, the vote is that I do the Squeezum Folks. In the first voting module, I did have 3 visitors vote for the other one. But, I had 8 others vote for this one.

As you can see, my daughter and I have a head start with the little girl and boy babies. I will post another lens as soon as I get them all done so that you can see what is going on.

Plastic Canvas Projects - On Ebay

I know these aren't plastic canvas Kissies but these are just as important and more available to you.
