My First Car

Updated on September 29, 2012

1970 Chevy Impala

This was my first car. I was 17 and paid $250 for it. I absolutely loved this car. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to drive it for very long. I didn't take a knowledgeable person with me when I bought it, and I didn't know enough about buying cars to check it myself. Since I bought it from a private party, there wasn't much I could do about it. After working so hard for the money to buy the car, I made a whole $40 on it at the junkyard. When I called them, they said they would give me $50, but it was overheating when we got it there, so they only gave me $40. Lesson learned. To this day though, I love Chevys, and I love big cars.

Nice lens. My first vehicle was a 98 Dodge Dakota truck and I still have it today. It's been almost 5 years since I purchased it when I was 16.

Hm, I'm trying to remember what kind of car my first was. It was used when my parents got it for me and it didn't last long, that's for sure. And I'm sure that car isn't made anymore. For good reason!
