2015 Chevy Camaro VS 2015 Ford Mustang VS 2015 Dodge Challenger

Updated on October 27, 2014

2015 Camaro, Mustang & Challenger Preview

The 2015 Chevy Camaro, 2015 Ford Mustang and the 2015 Dodge Challenger are all really cool cars. They are all muscle cars according to many. Well, some people think of Camaro as more of a regular sports car. The Camaro Zl1 is very popular and so is the Z/28. This article will be using the specs from the 2015 Chevy Camaro Z/28 model. The first Camaro was the 1967 model and Chevy produced them up until the 2002 model. Then, they brought back the Camaro for the 2010 model with a completely different design. It was made popular by the transformers movie. Bumble Bee really made this car famous.

The Ford Mustang has been in production since the 1965 model and is still being made today. Mustangs are one of the best Ford cars and the Mustang Cobra is one of its popular models The Ford Mustang had a few different generations. The first generation was from 1964-1973(the 1965 model was produced in 1964 and so on); the second generation was from 1974-1978; the 3rd generation was from 1979-1993; the 4th was from 1994-2004; the 5th was from 2005-2014; and the new 6th generation is the new 2015 model!

The Dodge Challenger was recently brought back in 2008 from its last production in 1983. The Challenger has been produced off and on for decades. The Chrysler Corporation produced the Challenger from 1958-1959 and then again from 1969-1974. Then Mitsubishi Motors produced it from 1978-1983. Now once again starting from 2008 the Chrysler Group is producing it once again and it is doing better than ever! The new 2015 Dodge Challenger is one of the most popular muscle cars around.

Battle of 2015 Chevy Camaro, 2015 Ford Mustang & 2015 Dodge Challenger

The 2015 Chevy Camaro Z/28 is the fastest street legal Camaro ever produced. Yes, of course it is faster than the 1969 Camaro (so many people like the 69 Camaro). The 2015 Z28 Camaro is also faster than the 2014 Chevy Camaro.

The new 2015 Camaro has 500 hp with 470lb-ft of torque and has a 7.0 LS7 V8 engine that came from the Corvette. The Camaro beats the new Mustang when it comes to the engine. The Mustang has a 5.0 V8 that packs just 435 hp. It also beats the new Dodge Challenger which has a 6.4 HEMI V8 with 485 hp. The new Camaro comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Mustang has an option of 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed auto transmission. They are ties in that category, but the new Dodge Challenger has a new TorqueFlite 9-speed auto transmission! The Dodge Challenger beats both other muscle cars with their new transmission. Those are really the main 2 things that are most important about a muscle car, but there are a few more details about each car that need to be mentioned.

The new Camaro comes with 19" forged aluminum wheels and Pirelli PZero tires. As for the interior, the Camaro comes with 4 analog gauges separated by 2 pods & a touch screen between the pods. It also comes standard with bucket seats that can be manually adjusted and a flat-bottomed steering wheel that has multiple functions. Bluetooth technology gives the driver the ability to make hands-free calls. The new Z/28 is nearly 300 pounds lighter than the Camaro Zl1. The 2015 Camaro also has PTM (Performance traction management) which is mainly used for the track,

The new Ford Mustang 2015 has 20" rims available. It also has high tech sensors that can detect cars in your blond spots and for when you are backing up out of a parking spot. The Mustang also has intelligent access with a push-button start so as long as you have the key on you, you can open and start the car without ever reaching into your pocket. It also has available, for the first time in a Mustang, the advanced in car communications system that is voice activated and has a touch screen. What's cool about the Mustang too is that it has a convertible option available.

The new Challenger has a class-exclusive 5-link rear suspension. It has been improved compared to the 2014 Dodge Challenger. The body of this car is similar to the 2015 Dodge Charger. It has available high performance suspension, steering and Brembo 4 piston brakes. There are new performance pages in the 8.4" uConnect touch screen, which include configurable drive modes that let you make adjustments to the traction control, steering response, engine and transmission. Like the Mustang it also can detect cars in your blind spot and in the back of your car when backing up. It also can detect possible collisions in the front of the car. It also has 20" rims available like the Mustang & has the ability to open and start the car without you taking out your key.

Who Wins Between 2015 Camaro, Mustang & Challenger?

Overall the 2015 Camaro Z/28 wins against the Ford Mustang & Dodge Challenger mainly because it has the most horse power at 500 hp! Although the 8-speed auto trans of the Dodge Challenger is awesome, it still only has 485 hp, which cannot compare to the Camaro. When it comes to the style and design of the car, the Camaro looks the coolest. Although they are not as sporty and flashy as the Camaro; the Mustang and Challenger both look cool and tough too. When it comes to standard and available features, the Mustang and Challenger tie in that category and the Camaro finishes last there, but in the end the Camaro beats the other 2 overall. The Challenger comes in 2nd place and the Mustang 3rd.

Marcus, I compared the best available options for all 3 vehicles directly from the manufacturer's websites. I always get people like you trying to knock my article because they don't agree, but the facts are all there and can be verified on each manufacturer's website! Each car could win the battle if your choose the best option against the opponents basic, but I chose the best options available for each car and that makes it a fair comparison. Not everybody can afford the best option but that is indeed the best way to compare.

I have a Camaro in my garage right now, and this review is udder bullshit. First of all, the Zl1 is faster then the Z28 camaro. Second of all, both are slower then the 2015 Shelby and 2015 Hellcat. If your comparing the base model(z28 is not) then compare the SS, to the GT, and RT. Because if you do, camaro looses again. I love chevy, but the ball is in your court now. And stop with making camaro the most expensive of the new ponies, but the lease amount of fun. I love my chevy and I'm loyal, but your forcing us to pay more for the slower vehicle....THAT, has me looking at the enemies grass like boy that's green, hmmmm

Jonh, I agree with you about the Challenger being more muscle in style at least. I like the 2015 Challenger very much because it really has the muscle image. In the end though, I like the 2015 Chevy Camaro all around for performance and style. What do you think of the new Mustang generation?

Allen Stollings, the 2015 Camaro has the most horse power out of all 3 cars at 500 horse power standard. The Mustang and Challenger have less than that, not 700. Sure if you get certain upgrades or custom upgrade then all 3 cars can have more HP

I think that the camaro need to put a bigger horsepower engine bc mustang and challenger have like 700 horsepower cars and Chevy need to step it up.
