I took my daughter to the Monster Truck Jam at the Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey Meadowlands where the New York Giants and New York Jets play. What a great and exciting night! This was on Saturday, June 16, 2012.

If you have never attended one of these events, you have to go at least once and take your kids. I watch the monster truck events on the Speed network all the time, but always wanted to attend one, so finally we saw they were coming to my local area and we got tickets.

Just to show you how well attended this event is, we got a good part of Met Life Stadium in this photo.

In the back: Crusader tipped over and had to be towed off the course.

There were 32 trucks in all with 16 on two sides of the stadium. In this photo are Maximum Destruction, Melal Mulisha, Crusader, Captain America and Grave Digger (The Legend). All the monster trucks were loud, so they sold ear muffs to the children, but that probably did not knock out that many decibals to begin with. Yes folks, it was that loud.

Hot Wheels Tips Over

There was tumbling all night, but this is Hot Wheels!

The monster truck drivers were doing all sorts of fancy stuff that night including flips, somersaults and just crushing the cars in their paths. Some of the drivers tried too hard to flip all the way and just did not make it. The trucks had to be towed off the course.

It was spectacular!

The Super Heroes Were There Too

Some of the monster trucks were also named after super heros like Captain America, Iron Man and Spiderman!

Not pictured here are Spiderman and Iron Man, but I have seen Superman in the past as well.

I think some of these monster truck drivers push so hard on the throttle that they do lots of damage to themselves. Here the driver of Iron Man blew his rear right tire. Funny!
