Biking Trip From Mumbai To Mount Abu
It’d been really long that I had not gone for a longer trip after the one from Mumbai to Ooty. On the last day of 2017, 3 of my friends and I decided to hit the road to make our way to Mount Abu, welcoming the New Year riding on our bikes. The gang was riding on a Yamaha FZ 25, a Hero Honda Karizma ZMR, an Avenger Cruise 220 and I’d got on my Royal Enfield Himalayan for this trip. Instead of heading directly to Mount Abu, we decided to take a detour and ride along the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. That literally doubled our distance as well as the riding time, but nothing could win the bargain against riding along the mesmerising views of the Rann.
On our way, just outside Mumbai, we saw some shoot happening along with a couple of superbikes. All 4 of us stopped to check out what was this about. Turns out, it was a TV commercial shoot happening for Castrol POWER1 Racing Engine Oil with all the fancy bikes stationed around it. I felt so overwhelmed to be a proud user of Castrol Engine oil and decided to give the Castrol POWER1 Engine Oil a try next time I go for my bike engine oil change after I got to know about its new technology and performance benefits. Anyway, after a few hundred pictures with our dream bikes, we headed to the Rann of Kutch. We camped there for a night, starting the New Year away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai city. Next morning, we were on our way to Mount Abu after a light brunch.
After 1400 KMs of riding from Mumbai, we were finally at our destination. The climate was amazing and we had just revved our bikes riding along some beautiful stretches of roads and breath-taking views. Visiting a few attractions at Mount Abu got us through our day and we headed to our hotel for the night. Next morning we left from Mount Abu to get back to Mumbai with a couple of stops in between for food and snacks. Our trip finally came to an end with memories of an amazing trip and with an amazing start to the New Year.
