WHERE TO FIND A TORONTO COLLISION REPORTING CENTRE
Collision Reporting Centres have been established by the Toronto Police, various insurance providers and private enterprise.
If you are a driver who has have been involved in an automobile accident in Toronto, you must report the accident (except under certain circumstances) to one of 3 Collision Reporting Centres within 24 hours if the damage caused by the accident is estimated to be over $1000.
At the Collision Reporting Centre, a police officer will inspect your automobile and a report will be filed.

What information should you take down after a car accident?
Remember to exchange full information with the other driver(s) involved. Also get the names and contact information for any witnesses
When exchange information, be sure to include:
- Names, addresses, telephone numbers
- Obtain their driver’s license number
- Their insurance company name and policy number
- Write down and year/make/model of vehicle, as well as their license plate number
- Write down the location of the accident, and if you can jot down a little diagram indicating the location and directions of the cars involved
