Craigslist Cars for Sale is a division of the classifieds listing website Craigslist.com.The website presents ads for cars, trucks and vans that are currently up for sale.Sellers can post a "car for sale" listing on Craigslist at no charge, making Craigslist an economical option for selling a pre-owned car.Craigslist is also a very popular place to search for cars for sale by private parties and/or local dealerships. In large metropolitan areas, it is not uncommon to see hundreds of “cars for sale” listings added every day.

Used car listings are located under the “For Sale” caption on your local Craigslist’s regions page.In larger metropolitan areas, the listings can be furthered drilled down to different areas within the city. The Craigslist classifieds ads service also offers personals, job postings, real estate listings, and much more.

Like any other webpage, Craigslist is susceptible to con artists, rip-offs, and theft. It is important to heed any advice offered by Craigslist on the latest scam scenarios.Scams are always evolving, making it important for consumers to exercise caution.Always remain attentive and proceed with care to avoid risking your hard earned dollars.

Buying and selling cars on Craigslist is simple, but one of the key complications is the presence of scam artists looking to benefit from cash in hand buyers. The bulk of consumers utilizing Craigslist’s services are authentic people just trying to make a sale/purchase, however, whenever the internet is utilized as a median certain vulnerabilities are inadvertently enlarged.

Before meeting with a seller, be sure to make a list of any questions you have about the car.Request the seller to provide a copy of the VIN number in order to access history reports for the vehicle.Once you meet with the seller, inspect the car as thoroughly as possible.Don’t forget to check the small but expensive items such as the electrical components (lights, radio, power windows, power locks, etc..) and the air conditioning & heating system.Check the engine compartment for signs of worn belts, hoses, or wires.Look under the car for any signs of leakage.Always test drive the vehicle while remaining attentive to the engine temperature, brakes, check engine lights, etc…

Craigslist spans over 700 local regions, receiving millions visitors each month. The potential is high to find a great deal on a local car.Be sure to remain patient and thoroughly inspect any used car you are considering purchasing on Craigslist.

Craigslist is a great means of finding pretty much anything and everything...and i mean EVERYTHING. The only problem is discerning whether the items listed are legit, boosted, or scam.

I sold my used Saturn station wagon to a college student through Craig's list a few years ago. Given the miles on the car, only a college student could use it for local driving. I was thankful that Craig's list let me find interested buyers without having to pay to place an Ad.
