Can't get to your 4wheeler's battery? Here's a few easy to follow steps to access it.

There are 2 possible ways to access your battery box. The first thing you need to do is locate it. The battery box is located under the right rear fender on most years and models of Polaris Sportsman 4wheelers. That is what this article will be targeting.

1. The battery box can be accessed by taking the seat off of your 4wheeler. The seat can be removed by using the rear latch (see picture). Use the latch to remove the seat, and the battery box will be right there near the right rear fender to access.

2. The battery box must be accessed by going up underneath the right rear fender (as shown here). A bunjee cord holds the battery box and it's cover in place, and can be accessed directly under the fender.

To decide which category your 4wheeler falls into, remove the seat to see if you can access it there. If not, the battery can be accessed by following step number 2.
