How To Find Corvettes For Sale

Updated on April 27, 2011

Recently I have been helping a friend try to find corvettes for sale. The first thing that came in my mind was to go to eBay motors and check out their selection of Chevrolet Corvettes. When I reviewed the total there was approximately 1,500 corvettes that I found for sale. As you can choose to sort by distance, I found approximately 50 Corvettes within 100 miles from where I live. Ebay is e a great starting point when you are looking to buy a Corvette.

On EBay motors you can also sort by a specific year that you are looking for, whether its a manual or automatic transmission, the total mileage of car, the color, and many other options including if the Corvettes is from a private party or a dealer. Of course you can also check out your local newspapers and Craig's list which offers multiple cities and also offers a large volume of corvettes for sale. There are also many online web sites that can easily be found if you simply type in the search keywords of "Corvettes for Sale” or "Buy Corvette" in Google or whatever search engine you use.

Things To Know Before Buying A Corvette

Corvettes are one of the most stolen cars on the market. Based on the city you live in, the average time expectancy before a Corvette is stolen may surprise you. Therefore you should look into one or more alarm systems to place on your Corvette to prevent theft. Additionally you should check out tips to save money on car insurance costs.

Another thing to think about when buying a Corvette, is that if you need any body work it may be more costly because fiberglass repairs are more expensive than sheet metal. Also you will find that replacing tires for a Corvette may cost more than for an average car.

Locating Corvettes For Sale

Finding a large selection of corvettes for sale is the easy part. The hard part is getting a quality car and at a fair price. On eBay motors you can choose an auction that is “no reserve” which means there is no minimum price what the car will be sold for. Corvettes being sold on eBay motors have many features that offer for buyer protection. Before you make any bids, be sure to review the history of the seller to make sure you are dealing with someone that is honest and reputable. Ebay motors also offers free history reports for eligible vehicles. You will be made aware of the car was ever stolen, salvaged, rebuilt or in an accident along with other useful information.

When you finally get the Corvette of your dreams you may want to consider joining a corvette club. There are many different clubs in most cities throughout the U.S.A. It is a great way to meet other corvette owners, check out their cars and they always have different fun activities and events. You may even want to check out some of the clubs before you purchase your Corvette because many times you can find corvettes that are being sold by members that are looking to sell their corvette and purchase a different one.

Corvettes are supreme! If I could afford it I would have one for each day of the week. Starting with a '63, '67, '72, '80, '93, '97, 2011. The new Z06 is amazing! I'd definitely need one of those. A ZR1 for sure. Maybe a Grand Sport and a big block.
