How To Remove Spray Paint From Headlights
I recently acquired a Chevy S10, and it's a great little truck, but there was some paint on the lights when someone spray painted the bumper. I found a quick and cheap way to remove the paint.
All you need is some...
- Vegetable oil
- A scruff pad
- Some water
- A towel, paper towel, or rag
I used a soapy scruff pad because it's all I had, but you could use anything that has a slight grit to it.
Dip the scruff pad in the oil and start rubbing away at the paint. Use some elbow grease if it doesn't come off right away. It didn't take very long before the paint was gone.
The oil also gives the lights a nice shine. Keep rubbing until all the paint is gone.
If I took the lights out, I could have reached the edges more; there were some spots that were to tight to get too.
And that's all there is to it. If it worked, or if you have another trick, leave a comment.
