Hyundai’s 2013 Veloster Turbo Hatch Is Going to Turn Heads
Hyundai Veloster 2013
The Hyundai Veloster made a lot of heads turn when it hit the streets this past year. The 2012 model garnered a respect that few cars had seen for quite a while. Now this summer the Veloster Turbo is supposed to come out and already it is making those same heads twist again. Time to see why!
The base Veloster price is around 18,500 and at that price it did not come with any frills. As they added some of the extras then came the price boost. The summer Turbo series coming to the USA is expected to base price out around 21,500 MSRP. The expected destination fee of about 760 will bring it to 22,600. This rise in price is assumed to be a marriage of some of the base Veloster’s optional features and the added power.
A Little Spec...
The power for this new hatch series of car will motivate either a six-speed automatic or stick shift choice of transmission. This model will have forced induction on top of the 1.6 GDI 4 cylinders happening under the hood. This added piece of boost will establish a rated 200+ horsepower over its 138 parentage. Hatch-back series vehicles rarely see a power house effect such as this will model will showcase. It is no wonder that current Hyundai owners, and some others looking for something new, will keep their eyes on the promise of this power; especially with what the automaker outlines as a 27/38 MPG. on its stick-shift model.
Ok, How About the Look?
The fun does not stop there. Styling is not a forgotten matter with the Veloster Turbo.
For the first time in its history, Hyundai is introducing a gray-matte paint finish as an option (and not the only one). This is sure to draw an added audience for the Hyundai Company. Along with its finish, the car will sport 18 inch wheels as a first.
The front of this automobile will have an open grill look to it. Considering that looks add to performance, the opened up grill will draw in more air-intake for cooling. The hexagon appearance will establish the beginning focus as it sweeps around to a more open and layered appearance. This approach to the esthetics will clear a way for enjoying the visual as it sweeps towards the rear end. The back bumper will have diffuser vents to complete the 360 portrait. This styling gets away from many contemporaries of the Veloster, without looking like a typical hatch.
Hyundai is not one to forget the impressiveness of it being a turbo, so they are stitching it into the interior leather seats. Winter time is not forgotten with the heaters for the seats.
All in all the new 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo is giving a whole new dimension to the hatch look and feel. Summer is definitely shaping up to be fun on the road for those looking for a new car. The Veloster Turbo is going to be one promised option to narrow down their buying choice.
