Overview

Publicly unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2011, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700 -4 has proven that it has few competitors. Superior engineering, combined with a truly unique look that can’t be matched, is truly one of a kind. After the show, Lamborghini announced it already had 12 months’ worth of orders to fill, which it start delivering in the second half of 2011. With only 4,000 of these supercars made, you aren’t likely to see one on a dealer’s lot anytime soon.

This Italian-made car has always had a reputation for futuristic thinking. From the iconic scissor-like doors to the carbon-fiber V12 engine, this car oozes with innovative technology and engineering. It’s no wonder it has already achieved legendary status. You get all of this for only $385,000 U.S.

The Aventador LP700-4 is certainly ahead of its time in terms of technology and design. It is the result of the company’s newest project, but does not compromise on Lamborghini’s standards and reputation for quality and values. It is unmistakably Italian in its perfection and style. In the arena of super sports cars, this one definitely stands alone.

Interior

All the driver’s controls are easily accessible, and the entire cabin’s interior is aesthetically pleasing to both driver and passenger, with more character than previous models. Digital instruments offer bright, understandable readouts. Gear shift timings, rear differential slip degree and throttle engine response can be altered by touching one of three buttons with the driver’s right hand: Corsa, Sport or Strada.

The dashboard features leather and a carbon-fiber look.

Exterior

Resembling a Diablo, the overall shape of the Adventador is aerodynamically curved, and as unique as only a Lamborghini can be. The front and rear bumpers are body-colored, as are the door mirrors (which are heated on both the passenger and driver side.)

The overall length of the vehicle is 188.2 inches, and 79.9 inches in width; the height measures in at 44.7 inches.

The Bi-Xenon headlights with projector beam lenses would not be complete without headlight cleaners.

The hatch/trunk spoiler adds to the aerodynamics performance, not to mention sleek look.

Weighing in at just less than 3,500 pounds, it offers superior speed and curb handling, without compromising on control and stability.

Of course, a full description of the exterior would not be complete if one did not mention the doors. These scissor-like features are what truly defines the Lamborghini and helps set the company apart from its competitors.
