My Love Affair with a Chevy Camaro

Updated on July 9, 2013

The Camaro and I

It all started with one of my first boyfriends. He had a Chevy truck when I met him in 1986 and soon after bought a '67 Chevy Camaro. It needed some paint and a spoiler but I was hooked. Looking back I think I loved the car more than him. Riding in it was an experience all it's owm. Watching the constant rubberneckers looking at us driving by was fun and at 15 and 16 was good for a girl's ego.

As the years passed the styles changed but the 67 was my favorite, with the 68 and 69 in close running. Through the 70's 80's and 90's I did not care for the body style and still look at them wondering what Chevy was thinking. But recently the old hot rod look has come back for several of the muscle cars of yesteryear and I am a happy girl. Chevy has out done themselves with the current Camaro in my opinion

I seem to be smittin for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Chevy Camaro. In fact I almost pulled out in front of another car the other day because I was focused on a burgundy one driving by. Just yesterday I asked my daughters if it would be wrong to try to date the guy in the target parking lot, with the yellow and black racing stripes, (Bumble Bee... my favorite) Chevy Camaro? My 15 year old replied I don't think dad would like that and I said I think he might understand LOL. All joking of course. But that car just entrances me.Later asking him, she was right.

The Chevy Camaro has sexy lines and looks fast standing still. It is my Matt Bomer or Justin Timberlake of cars. Did I mention that I am in love with this car? Have you ever thought something was so amazing that you just wanted to bite a chunk out of it? That is how this car makes me feel. Whenever I see one I stop in my tracks and point it out to everyone around me.

In the Mall parking lot a few months back there was a beautiful black Camaro parked close to our HHR and I started to walk up to it not realizing the owner and his wife were behind me. I was so embarrassed when he piped up "you like my car huh?" He saw the shock on my face and said that his wife suggested hitting the panic button to scare me. My husband was laughing at me. It was pretty embarrassing but the guy and his wife were good sports.

There is a Poll below... Let me know what you think about the new Chevy Camaro.
