Texas Department of Public Safety offers -- Non - Emergency Roadside Assistance the phone number can be found on the back of your Texas Drivers License.

800-525-5555 or you can dial *377 on your cell phone for more information visit the website at www.txdps.state.tx.us

This number is not intended for 9-1-1 Emergency Assistance you should still call 9-1-1 for emergencies.

You can use this Hot-line if you are stranded with car problems, dangerous road conditions with debris on the road, to report drunk drivers or suspicious behavior at road side rest areas.

It is for motorists who have a legitimate need for assistance on Texas roadways. Despite what some e-mails say, motorists who call the toll-free number are not provided a free yearly tow or a free voucher for fuel.

This is great service if you are traveling and need towing service this Hot-line service will call or give you local wrecker service number to assist you.
