The Roar of a Car

Updated on December 25, 2017

What a Petrol-head Is and the evolution of cars

A petrol-head is someone who is in love and knows all about cars. I am one of them and if you are too then you have come to the right spot! From the Lamborghini Countach to the Ferrari LaFerrari we have witnessed an immense change in the manufacturing of these 4-wheelers. With quad-turbo v16's like the Bugatti Vision GranTurismo and the Devel Sixteen which errupts 5000 hp we can only wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Do You Know Which Auto-mobile Manufacturing Company Has The World Record For The Fastest Car In The World?

World Records are meant to be broken just like rules. But this consistent record of the fastest car in the world is kept with a company none other than.... Bugatti! Yes! The Veyron Supersport 16.4 is a record setting car with a 0-100 in 1.9 seconds. But with Tesla producing the roadster in 2018 we would like to see if electricity can beat power.

Current Supercars & Hypercars

If we look around, we can see many cars with some being luxurious, some being fast and some looking like spaceships. If we talk about luxury the first company to come in mind is Rolls-Royce, this company is responsible for manufacturing some of the most luxurious rides on the face of this planet. With cars like the Dawn, Phantom and Wraith which even had a star roof! How cool is that? We also have Bentley running up the leagues and other follow ups like Range Rover with the Evoque and Discovery is not far behind. The competition is getting intense with new and powerful competitors when Lamborghini introduced its Urus towards the end of 2017. An SSUV which gives you speed and luxury. We will not be surprised if this takes over and conquers the throne once again.

Now coming to supercars we have Porsche with its Cayenne, 911, 918 and the GT3-RS. McLaren has made a name for itself with the P1 which was a game changer for the firm. The 570S and and 720S also stole hearts of people worlwide. Limited to only 499 people how can we forget the Ferrari LaFerrari? My personal favourite and the one which changed history with its 963 horsepower v12 engine, everyone wants to get their hands on this masterpiece. Lamborghini has been dominant with the Aventador, Aventador SV, Huracan Performantè, Gollardo, Murcielago and Urus has proved why it belongs in the spot where it is. With some limited cars like the Centenario, Reventon and Veneno which were limited to only 20 people has showed that fantasy can be changed to reality. Other great companies like Mercedes-Benz with their G63 AMG, SLR and SLK's has impressed many people. BMW shined their light on electricity and showed what they are capable to do with it after releasing the BMW i8 which was the one of the first steps towards an electric future. Audi has defied the odds in this competitive field with its R8 and introduced some impressive technology with the A-series, particularly, the A7 and A8.

This is perhaps the best part or the part you all were waiting for. You guys thought I forgot the spaceships? No way! When I talk about spaceships, I mean Pagani Automobili. A company which is responsible for some of the most creative cars that left people eith an awe. Their jaw-dropping Zonda Cinque, Huayra, Huayra BC and others have really taken over real petrol-heads. But unfortunately, it is available to only limited consumers because of the limited amounts they are in. Next, we come to Koenigsegg. A company which has the best interiors in their cars and their power is just out of this world. With their CCX, CCX-R, Agera and Agera RS they have put the bars high.

You know we have to save the best for the last so here we are with the one amd only, Bugatti! Idon't think I need to say much. With the Bugatti Supersport, Bugatti Veyron, Bugatti Chiron and the new arrival the Bugatti Vision GranTurismo have been known for their power and uniqueness. The first company to showcase a v16 with a 16.4 and 1001 horsepower. This evolved later to 1500 horsepower with their recent release, the Bugatti Chiron. Some other amazing companies are W Motors with their Lykan and Fenyr and also a car to be produced in 2018, the Devel Sixteen with 5000 horsepower!
