No where did I see a road as bad as this road in Hosur the largest small scale, medium ,big ,heavy and very heavy Industrial Town of Tamil Nadu.

Streaming road a 6 lane road from the capital of Tamil Nadu to Bangalore. All the way you pay over Rs.800 to use the road since its made by a private party in conjunction with the political party in power at national and state level. We did not pay to use the roads for 50 years but now the new technology in business management and road engineering technology has come in to play with the private road makers in the country to flee the people who must use the road to go from one place to another in his own car.The govt also has check points where you are stopped if you are going in a Taxi,as they cannot go any place they like in their own taxi any place in the country with out a permit. There are private Taxis that go as public taxis but that is another story you will soon read in this Hub.

How do the roads get eaten away by the road users.

It is no secret that the roads are made to be eaten away by road users by the people who are responsible to plan and order construction of the roads, they are the bureaucrats and politicians from the village level to national level. At National level it may not be as bad as at State Level and Panchayath Level. The pictures that are looking ugly in the Hub are made at Pachayat Level..

How do the Panchayats get to make Eatable Roads.

It's not one Panchayat that makes the Eatable Roads.A set group of Villages form a Panchayat which is looked after by a elected President and he has no control over any Roads.Even the Roads in front of his home he cannot order repairs.Several Panchayats are grouped and called as Towns. The Towns elect a councilor. The number of councilors are pure arithmetically uniformly elected every 5th year all over the state. This group of a nearly a dozen councilors elect a Chairman from their group who will be a mufti millionaire. The councilors, the chairman in consultation with the local MLA and MP are the persons who are responsible for the quality of the roads.

Why do the Councilors the MP and MLA take quality level at such standards.

The allocation for maintenance of roads by various panchayats in the entire state is fixed in the state's budget and this amount goes distributed as per directions of the Head of the State.First Preference goes to the place from where the Head of State is elected and rest as per influence of the majority of elected party representative desires.

If the councilor is not a member of the majority party in power his area gets poor funds for improvement of his area and may be no roads that will be repaired in his village or made properly since his area voters have not elected the candidate of the majority party as the councilor,M L A or even as a M P of the party in power. member. There is more to this than just what is said but that is not my subject. The reason the roads are of poor quality is the mind set of politicians who want to make NOTES after getting VOTES.

How do they make Notes after getting Votes.

Every thing they do has a catch

Let's take the case of Roads which make the Notes for the Politicians and Bureaucrats in Power.

Road making is a pretty big business in our country. As we have no roads even on land let alone over streams, canals, bridges and hills. The Road making contractors are very powerful and they are also very friendly with politicians and bureaucrats. The get information about the money that goes in the budget to all the places and the amount that they can get from making the roads. All paper work is done by the bureaucrats in such a way that the contractors get the information and they in turn distribute the work among other contractors as it is necessary and has more advantages financially to get maximum profits. For example a road that goes under repair for 25 kilometers in a Village will have to pass through .areas that are ruled by some body who has the muscle power some where in the stretch of road and he can give trouble by making several objections like the Quality of the road being unsatisfactory in which case it will be difficult for one person to handle all the 25 kilometers of road. There for several people will build the road of the Village and they manage all the people who can make problems. The bureaucrats and these trouble makers eat away 20 paisa in a Rupee and the road maker makes 30 paisa and the balance 50 paisa goes in road making where 20 paisa goes to labor leaving just 30 paisa for material in which 3 paisa goes as wastage. If out of 100 paisa 27 paisa is the material how to make a road that costs 90 paisa the AXE falls on Quality of construction. The roads are there fore of very poor quality and this quality is not the material but the method adopted and specifications that get changed during road making or repairing.

How can we improve the quality of roads and maintain the roads clean.

A minister was asked this question as to how in the entire CHINA the roads are good and clean ?.

The minister said, that is because all those roads are in China.

Wait till you see a bigger Truck going here a 20 Feet Bridge.
