Worst Cars of 2010

Worst Cars of 2010

I came across this list of Forbes 7 worst made cars of 2010. I found it shocking to see that analysts were giving General Motors a positive outlook for 2010 even though 4 of the 7 models were GM built; the Cadillac Escalade (their best selling car) topped the list for worst value. I would think that after car buyers read this report, that many would think twice before buying a General Motor car.

As a general automotive repair mechanic for the last 16 years and having worked on almost every make and model of car out there the most problematic cars I see come from vw with gm being a close second. My friends 07 silverado had a new transmission by 25,000 miles, new lifters which can only be done by pulling the cylinder heads at 90,000, 3 starters by 100,000, oil leaks, brake problems out the wazoo and rattles and squeaks from numerous places. If that's gm quality, you can keep it. This seems to be the norm on the majority of the gm vehicles I work on and not limited to the problems I mentioned above.

you got good and bad points all around... yes, few of you can spell;-) I surely wouldn't go car shopping with you. And, we do follow the media waaaaay too much 'cause we all are looking for someone else to do the research/work for us... oh, wait, that's america's problem right now... that's why we have the "big government" we have, etc... "do it for me." i digress... Just LOOK around you at what cars are STILL on the road after YEARS, MANY YEARS, and those are your "best cars". You gotta look broadly and give up your preferences. Ex...i got a cherokee with 277,000 miles on it (that might be a good clue. I only bought it after asking many what they thought of it and how long they last. Most don't take good care of their cars either... that's a contributor. America could make good cars but chooses not to because when they break down it boosts the economy for someone to have to buy a new one... so it's our choice to build crap. I hate that,,, we used to be the richest and strongest country in the world but our desire for the latest "fad" and laziness has taken us from "selling our stuff to the whole world" down to us buying everything from the rest of the world; and now our country has no value in the world market accept "purchasing power". that's why we are crumbling as a nation. oops, this was about cars. lol... It all has to do with our love of money and greed. It's a heart change that will change the rest of this... including the quality we produce, and nothing else.

Jeep rhymes with cheap, yes, but that is when it is used with cheap thrills. Jeeps still are pretty reliable and a blast to drive.

re: ernie whitney, porsche, mercedes, bmw (including mini), ford, land rover, hell even gm (i.e. buick), didn't need much luck coming up with these few makers of vehicles that are known for holding their value. just remember jeep rhimes with cheap for a reason! wranglers have never scored well by any means by any reviewer - ever

I agree with Ken, just because one agency rates a car doesn't mean it's true.

Who in the World thinks that the Imports are hit harder by the media than the Domestic vehicles!?! What planet are you from? When the Firestone problem occurred Ford almost lost everything and the media kicked it for months after it was resolved. GM has always been bashed because they were on top for so long and we can all just agree they should have let Chrysler slip away.

Let GM or Ford have an overall concern with acceleraters sticking and see where that one would trickle to. The Media would have kids on TV interviewing them trying to connect the sticking throttle on their Go Cart to a Ford or GM supplier that they have controlling interest in.

Toyota just had to put a No Sale on one of their best selling model Lexus's because an independent Agency determined it's rollover tendencies were untolerable.

The Media grooms so many people and it is amazing how many baby ducks are in Society. Hell let's all get in our imports and drive over to Acorn's retitled HQ's and discuss our new health Care that will start conveniently after the next election is finalized.

I wish there were chips inserted in everyone, that would shock them when something f*in stupid came out of their mouth. Like a little bug zapper.

As a toyota Tundra owner I am glad to see know toyotas on the list The US and canadian government has millions invested in GM and Christler They are hiding the problems with theese vehicles. like the power steering malfunctions in some GM vehicles its taken six months to make a recall.

JEEP has had a flip over problem for years, and nothing has been done abought it. If an import has a prolem its big news. note toyotas profits were up 43% last month
