I'd offer two considerations.
1. A Honda Civic or Accord from the early 1990's with a 4cyl. motor and a 5 speed transmission. Both the motors and transmissions are known to be virtually bulletproof and it is common for these vehicles to be crushed/scrapped because the body fell apart around a still working engine/tranny after several hundred thousand miles.
2. Any 1980's or 1990's Ford truck with a V-8. The F-150 has been the top selling American vehicle for 20 or 30 years and the longevity numbers bear this out. Two, three, four hundred thousand miles are not uncommon on some examples of these trucks.
Many more examples but I think these two are strong contenders.
